Make It Real EP

Following up Fortune Signal's debut release "Give Some," Panooc (they/them) returns for the label's 8th release to date with the "Make It Real" EP. The Scottish producer and DJ offers up three high-energy original tracks alongside a peak-time remix from fellow UK producer and Kouncil Kuts boss Mark Mackenzie.

Throughout the EP, Panooc takes an adventurous approach to fuse their influences that celebrate nostalgia and the future, like on the title track 'Make It Real,' which kicks things off with smooth deep house chords and an acid bassline that nod to early classics. Energetic vocal chops and melodic sampling show their love for the sounds of the contemporary queer underground.

'Same Origin' quickly shakes things up with spirited rave-inspired breaks and a heavy pulsing bassline that makes it impossible not to start moving.

Meant to channel the surreal feelings of a dream, the soaring emotional chords and rolling sinister bassline of 'Exits' strike a perfect balance for early AM warehouse moments.

Mark Mackenzie flips the title track on its head for a pulsing, peak-time version made for big rooms and festival fields with more early rave-inspired flourishes.

Panooc, a member of the renowned queer collective XOXA, has also had recent releases with Sorry Records, .WAVCAVE, Delusional Records, and Super Drama.
